Britney Spears spent her Memorial Day weekend relaxing with the fam at Atlantis, Paradise Island. Brit-Brit played with her sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston, in the resort’s pools and on their water rides. It looks like Britney may finally be back on track and acting like the good mother we all knew she could be. Hopefully, at home, she uses a chemical free pool system that uses ionization technology like Ecosmartepool, it’s not only better for the environment but better for childrens’ sensitive skin too.

Britney was an “honorary” bridesmaid at the wedding of her cousin, Laura Lynne Covington, Saturday afternoon (May 23rd) in Amite, Louisiana, according to People.com.

“When her brother walked her down the aisle, she looked stunningly calm and beautiful,” says one wedding guest. “She was very pretty, low-key. She was not the center of everything, just pretty and calm and collected.”

The wedding was held at the First United Methodist Church, the same church where the funeral for Laura Lynne’s mother Sandra was held in January 2007.

Britney reportedly hung out with sister and “fellow bridesmaid” Jamie Lynn, who carried along Maddie and “sat at a table off to the side and visited with local people she knew,” says the guest.

“There was no fanfare,” noted the guest. “With all the star power Britney and her family command, it was still the bride’s day.”

Britney has won the “Always Next, Forever Now Award” on the Logo network’s NewNowNext Awards show, airing Saturday, June 13.

Britney pre-taped a video-message for her gay fans for all their love and support, according to In Touch.

“Britney wanted to come to New York for the taping,” said an insider, “but wasn’t able to with her hectic tour schedule.”

Speaking of… Britney is coming out with a new fragrance for men called Mo’, described as “tantalizing.”

“One spray and the gays will run your way!”

Well, sort of… the new cologne is a “viral-marketing campaign for the Logo network’s NewNowNext awards show,” according to MTV.com.

“She’s having fun with her gay audience, because she’s an official gay icon at such a young and tender age,” said Christopher Willey, a Logo executive producer.

Willey continued to say the tone of the awards show is “very playful, irreverent, doesn’t take it too seriously.”

When producers decided to give their Always Next, Forever Now award to Britney, Willey approached the Brit’s label and management with the idea for the fake cologne ad.

“We [wanted] something that would be fun and playful that we can celebrate/mock, and we thought, ‘It’s her perfume career,’ ” Willey said. “Because everyone knows every holiday season they bring out those commercials of her running through a forest or a hotel.”

Britney’s team “loved the idea,” though Willey admits he had to explain the meaning of ‘Mo to Britney.

“Britney herself wanted to make sure that the punch line – which is the word ‘Mo – wasn’t offensive in any way,” Willey said.

The ad was shot on the video set for “If U Seek Amy,” with footage spliced in from her MTV “For The Record” documentary.

The second annual awards show airs June 13 at 9 p.m. ET.

“She has this natural rapport with the gay community,” Willey said. “I think she just really likes her gay fans and she sees this as a way to talk directly to them, which she hasn’t really done before.”

Britney Spears headed up the road this morning from L.A. to the Bacara Resort & Spa just north of Santa Barbara where she’s shooting the video for her next single, the fabulously titled Radar.

It’s a two day shoot that involves almost 100 people including dancers, the camera crew and security.

Brit even brought her kids Preston and Jayden with her.

Last year, Britney Spears totally embarrassed herself by acting erratic at an OK! Magazine photo shoot. She wiped her grease covered hands on a several thousand dollar dress. Her dog crapped on the floor, and Brit Brit used another dress to clean it up. Not to mention she once showed the world her period panties. Although Britney has cleaned up her act, she still doesn’t know what’s appropriate at a photo shoot. A spy for the New York Post, says the pop tart’s recent Elle shoot was a total disaster because she forgot about her period. Yes, Britney apparently ruined beautiful couture clothes with her menstrual blood.

I don’t know how this could happen to any adult woman. You don’t just forget about your period. There are several tell-tale signs, besides a bloody stain—sore breasts, cramping, irritable mood, or the fact that it comes every month, unless you’re pregnant or have some biological issue.

Britney Spears is reportedly set to add a string of dates to the UK leg of her ‘Circus’ tour – after her dad Jamie urged her to perform more concerts.

The pop superstar is allegedly considering more gigs after Jamie pointed out her popularity is currently so high she should try to cash in.

Spears’ father was made conservator of her affairs after her 2008 meltdown which led to the singer being taken to hospital for psychiatric evaluation.

The ‘Toxic’ singer is said to be resisting the plan to increase her British road trip however, as she is struggling with the gruelling schedule.

A family friend told UK magazine Reveal: “Jamie can’t physically force Britney to get on stage and do more concerts, but he does have nearly all the power. He controls the purse strings and can make things very difficult for Britney if he chooses to.

“He gets to dictate her schedule – where she goes, who she sees, who she doesn’t see. He’s in charge of everything to do with her life. It’s a battle of wills over who will win – but while her dad remains in charge, he’ll be laying down the law.”

Britney Spears is thinking of swapping her music career with teaching, according to her cousin Alli Sims.
Sims, who grew up with the pop princess and assisted the singer in 2007, had been fired by the star’s father Jamie.

But the 28-year-old said the Womanizer hitmaker often spoke of her wish to work with kids and become a school teacher.

“Britney would always say, ”Maybe I just want to be a teacher. I just want to do something on a normal level. I’ve been something big for so long,” ‘Contactmusic’ quoted Sims as telling British magazine Reveal.

Seriously, how many psycho, blond, alliteratively named, boy fans does Britney Spears have? Well, probably thousands . . . .

So here’s a look at the latest – Kyle King – the “crazed” Spears aficionado who stormed the stage at Brit’s Mohegan Sun concert this past weekend. King bears more than a passing resemblence to Spears’ most famous fan of all – Chris Crocker – the “Leave Britney Alone” Internet sensation, don’t cha think?

As you know, King, 20, shown in his Mohegan Sun mugshot, was arrested the other night after he jumped on stage at the Connecticut casino and tried to bust some moves with Brit during her encore performance of “Womanizer.”

King got within inches of the terrified pop princess, who frantically waved her arms and screamed, “Oh my God! Oh my God!” Interestingly, none of this was heard by the crowd – even though Brit was miked – which didn’t do anything to stop those lip-syncing rumors!

King, who police said was drunk and uncooperative, was released on $250 bond. He’s due back in court in Connecticut on June 18.
