Yes, he was looking at jewelry – just not of the engagement variety.

Online reports that Britney Spears’s boyfriend and former agent, Jason Trawick, is planning to propose are false, a rep for the singer tells PEOPLE.

Trawick, 39, was spotted meeting with high-end jeweler Pascal Mouaward in Los Angeles Monday afternoon, sparking rumors that they were discussing diamonds for the pop star.

“There is no truth to that report with regards to engagement rings,” a rep for Spears said in a statement. “However, Jason was there to discuss other matters with Pascal, but nothing relating to him personally.”

Spears, 29, recently wrapped up the North American leg of her Femme Fatale tour. She and Trawick have been dating since 2009.

Britney Spears’ first remix album, B In The Mix: The Remixes, dropped what feels like a zillion hairstyles ago in 2005. In the six years since, the pop star has released three albums — Blackout, Circus and Femme Fatale — whose content is even more perfectly suited for a gleaning dancefloor makeover. Which makes us ultra-excited for the crazy baby’s B In The Mix: The Remixes Vol. 2 to drop on October 11. Brit posted the cover art and track listing on her Tumblr today — jump below to see which singles are getting all mixed up.

In addition to her 2009 single “3″, three tracks from each of Britney’s last three albums get the remix treatment on this compilation. (Though “Radar” was a single during the Circus period, it first appeared on Blackout, so we’re grouping it with that set of tunes.)

Did Brit pick the right songs to get remixed? Personally, we’re sure someone could have done some wonderful things to “Break The Ice”.

Britney Spears — B In The Mix: The Remixes Vol. 2

1. Gimme More (Kaskade Club Mix)
2. Piece Of Me (Tiësto Club Mix)
3. Radar (Tonal Club Remix)
4. Womanizer (Benny Benassi Extended)
5. Circus (Linus Loves Remix)
6. If U Seek Amy (U-Tern Remix)
7. 3 (Manhattan Clique Club Remix)
8. Till The World Ends (Alex Suarez Club Remix)
9. I Wanna Go (Gareth Emery Remix)
10. Criminal (Varsity Team Remix)

Cheryl Cole is apparently hoping to collaborate with Britney Spears.

After rubbing shoulders with Cameron Diaz on the set of their new movie, What To Expect When You’re Not Expecting, it seems Chezza has set her sights on another Hollywood A-Lister in the shape of Miss. Spears.

According to Now magazine, the Girls Aloud beauty is hoping to hit the studio with Britney after asking producer JR Rotem – who both Cheryl and Spears have worked with – for the pop princess’ number.

Speaking of a possible Chezza and Brit hook-up, a pal of the Fight For This Love singer told the mag: “She’d love to do a duet with Britney for her next album.”

The reports come after Cole’s bodyguard Craig Balkam claimed that Cheryl wanted to make friends with Britney, telling The Mirror: “She used to talk about Britney Spears. She kept saying that she wanted to help Britney.”

He added: “She thought she could become like a big sister to her and make her normal again after all her crazy behaviour.”

Cheryl has also been linked to collaborations with Rihanna, Usher and Christina Aguilera – after she was spotted meeting with both Xtina and the OMG hitmaker in LA.

Today, we all know Britney Spears as one of the biggest pop stars of our time, but thirteen years ago, she was a sixteen-year-old unknown about to release her first single. “…Baby One More Time” would go on to be a international hit for Spears, with her debut album of the same name going on to sell over twenty-six million copies worldwide.

In a rare interview with the pop princess, now twenty-nine, Glamour Magazine UK asked her what advice she would give her sixteen-year-old self. “To have fun,” Spears said. “I was having fun then, but in the beginning I think I was fearful. So I’d just say, try to embrace moments more, have a good time with life, and don’t take it so seriously.”

The unsinkable performer has certainly made this her year. Spears kicked off 2011 with her hit single “Hold It Against Me”, which went straight to number one after debuting in January. The spring brought more success for the Grammy winner when her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale, also debuted in the top spot on the Billboard charts. This summer, fans have been treated to seeing Spears live during her well received Femme Fatale Tour, which she will take overseas this fall. Just last week, she appeared at the MTV Video Music Awards where she was honored with not only the statue for Best Pop Video, but also the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

So what’s next for the music superstar? More of the same. When asked what the key to her longevity is, Spears said, “It’s because I love what I do and I don’t take myself so seriously. I’m on this journey and I’ve had so much fun so far. I genuinely have a blast and I really don’t listen to the critics.”

Listen for a remixed version of Spears’ latest single, “Criminal”, to be released on the radio soon, with a music video to follow. The always-hardworking performer already has the clip planned out, telling MTV, “It’s really different and it’s nothing I’ve heard before, so I really wanted to deliver this song. I was thinking of a really cool concept for the video just to make it interesting. You’ll have to see.”

Being a Britney fan myself, I couldn’t be more thrilled at the choice. She’s right about it being different – not only has she never recorded anything like it, but you’d be hard pressed to find something similar from any pop artist out there today.
