Britney Spears is being accused of plagiarism and will face a multi-million dollars lawsuit for the video of her new single ‘Hold It Against Me’ which debuted last week.

The singer is accused of “ripping off” the rock ballad If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me by the Bellamy Brothers.

According to reports, the American singers claim Spears’ song is too close to their own 1979 hit which topped the charts in six countries, and David and Howard Bellamy are set to met with lawyers.

“Howard and I have no personal beef with Britney. She’s a talented gal. But professionally we feel completely ripped off,” the Daily Mail quoted David, as telling the Daily Star.

“We will without doubt take the appropriate legal action if our attorneys agree we’ve been ripped off,” he added.

A spokesman for Britney told the paper: “If this is now a legal matter then I am afraid we would have nothing to say until our lawyers have been alerted

Britney Spears doesn’t do the dance moves in her new music video, “Hold It Against Me.” She couldn’t nail the routines, so a dance-double stepped in to do the legwork … sources connected with the production tell TMZ.

Multiple sources on the music video set tell TMZ, Jonas Akerlund, the director, was upset that Britney hadn’t practiced enough … so he asked her dance-double — Allison Kyler — to fill in.

We’re told it got so heated between Britney and the director — the singer left the set crying on the second day.

Although multiple sources connected with the production have told TMZ the story, Britney’s camp flatly denies it. A rep for Britney tells TMZ, “The accusations could not be further from the truth. Britney worked extremely hard on this video and rehearsed for six weeks prior to shooting.” The rep adds … Brit and Jonas got along great, and “Fans will immediately see how inaccurate these claims are once they see the video.”

Jonas tells TMZ, “[Britney's] been great throughout the entire process. At the end of the shoot I got the warmest hug I ever got from an artist, and I look forward to hugging her again very soon!” Jonas adds, “I’ve been around long enough to know when an artist gives it their all, and to me It doesn’t get better than this.”

Jonas says, “This video is gonna be f**king awesome. It’s all Britney.”

width= From schoolgirl to toxic temptress, Britney Spears has played many characters throughout the years. But the singer took a very different approach for her photo spread in the upcoming issue of the U.K.’s Pop magazine by channeling her inner manga character. In the issue, the pop princess dished about the possibilities of a Lady Gaga collaboration and working with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami for the anime-inspired cover.

Despite Gaga overthrowing Spears as the most-followed celebrity on Twitter, the singer had no hard feelings toward pop’s newest sensation. “I’m a big fan of hers,” she said when asked about working with Gaga. “Anything’s possible!”

A collaboration between the pop stars doesn’t seem out of the question, as Gaga’s mega-hit “Telephone” duet with Beyoncé was originally offered to Spears.

Donning a white wedding dress and a veil with matching gloves, Spears innocently poses in a field of flowers on the cover. In another photo, the singer trades the dress for a leg-baring getup accessorized with a red backpack.

Spears’ manga-style shoot was shot by Todd Cole with art direction from Takashi Murakami, who is often referred to as the “Andy Warhol of Japan.” While the spread strays from the singer’s typical styling, the pop star enjoyed working with the artist. “I loved working with Takashi,” she said. “I especially liked how he took high-end fashion and incorporated it with Japanese manga.”

The singer’s tour to Japan was what originally piqued her interest in Japanese culture. “We looked at a lot of characters and artwork before we shot, so I could get a feel for what he was looking for,” she explained. “I was in Japan on my past promo tour, and I loved it.”

Editor in Chief Dasha Zhukova spoke to Style.com about the singer’s Japanese treatment: “She’s feminine, sassy, strong-willed, determined: all the things a great Pop icon should be. Couple that with some Japanese swimsuits and a Rodarte wedding gown, and I think she is pretty much Pop personified!”

Spears couldn’t wait to share her excitement for her photo shoot with fans. The pop star took to Twitter, saying, “I just saw the photos for the first time and they are beautiful. Comes out Sept. 1st. Thanks @TakashiPom — Britney.”

Aside from gracing the cover of Pop magazine, the singer has already filmed a cameo for her “Glee” tribute episode and is working on completing the follow-up to 2008′s Circus.

With no end in sight to Britney Spears’ conservatorship, we’ve learned there’s one person who could set the ball in motion — and that’s Britney herself.

Britney’s conservatorship — which was created in February 2008 — shows no signs of ending. The conservators have not filed a petition to end it and there are no indications, based on our sources, that it’s wrapping up any time soon.

But we did a little checking and it turns out … Britney herself can ask the judge to end the conservatorship. Before that happens, the judge would have to satisfy herself that Brit essentially was capable of making decisions for herself and her kids.

But if Britney were to request an end to it, we’re told the judge would take the request seriously. That doesn’t mean the conservatorship would automatically end, but the judge would almost certainly re-evaluate it.

As we first reported … there are really two conservatorships at play — the one over Britney’s person and the other over her financial affairs. Our sources say Britney has no interest in ending the latter.

As for whether Britney wants to end the conservatorship over her person … we’re told she runs hot and cold. Fact is … daddy Jamie Spears has given her a lot of freedom this year, so it’s not like she’s living in a ball ‘n chain world.

But the taste of freedom … a little scary.

Britney Spears’ Circus Tour: What Can Fans Expect On Second Leg?
Singer will play three nights at Madison Square Garden starting Monday.

On Monday, Britney Spears will be back Stateside to kick off the second leg of her Circus tour. After initial shows in Ontario on Thursday and Friday (August 20 and August 21), Britney will be back in New York City playing three nights at Madison Square Garden, with Jordin Sparks and Kristinia DeBarge opening for the pop princess.

In March, Britney started the first leg of the tour in New Orleans. But this time around the pop star promises that a few changes have been made to her show to keep it fresh for her fans.

Britney’s Circus Tour Kickoff

Last month Britney revealed the new twists fans can expect for this part of the tour. “We have a song called ‘Mannequin’ that we’re adding to the show, which I’m really, really excited about, so it should be interesting,” Britney said. “We have to update [the show] or it gets really boring.”

In addition to adding a song to the set, the singer, who is nominated for nine Video Music Awards, revealed that she’s also going to alter a few numbers. “We’ve changed up a couple of numbers in the show,” she said. “So that’s going to make it a lot more fun for me and the dancers. It’ll be cool.”

The Ottawa Citizen called her show Friday a “visual extravaganza,” declaring that Britney’s performance proved that “she’s almost ready to slay the masses” and adding, “between the imaginative lighting, the extra personnel and the video clips, Spears’ concert gets top marks for visuals.”
