Britney Spears’ Circus Tour: What Can Fans Expect On Second Leg?
Singer will play three nights at Madison Square Garden starting Monday.

On Monday, Britney Spears will be back Stateside to kick off the second leg of her Circus tour. After initial shows in Ontario on Thursday and Friday (August 20 and August 21), Britney will be back in New York City playing three nights at Madison Square Garden, with Jordin Sparks and Kristinia DeBarge opening for the pop princess.

In March, Britney started the first leg of the tour in New Orleans. But this time around the pop star promises that a few changes have been made to her show to keep it fresh for her fans.

Last month Britney revealed the new twists fans can expect for this part of the tour. “We have a song called ‘Mannequin’ that we’re adding to the show, which I’m really, really excited about, so it should be interesting,” Britney said. “We have to update [the show] or it gets really boring.”

In addition to adding a song to the set, the singer, who is nominated for nine Video Music Awards, revealed that she’s also going to alter a few numbers. “We’ve changed up a couple of numbers in the show,” she said. “So that’s going to make it a lot more fun for me and the dancers. It’ll be cool.”

The Ottawa Citizen called her show Friday a “visual extravaganza,” declaring that Britney’s performance proved that “she’s almost ready to slay the masses” and adding, “between the imaginative lighting, the extra personnel and the video clips, Spears’ concert gets top marks for visuals.”

Pop princess Britney Spears is set to splash out on a new soul food restaurant in Los Angeles which she wants her father to run. The ‘Toxic’ singer is keen for her father Jamie Spears, who was made co-conservator of her personal and professional affairs following her public breakdown last year, to run the new eatery.

“Britney just wanted to give him something useful as a sign of her appreciation. After all their ups and downs she knows he’s always got her best interests at heart,” a source said. Spears who opened her ill-fated New York restaurant Nyla in 2002 plans to serve soul food at the Los Angeles eatery. Soul food is popular in the southern states of US and includes dishes such as fried chicken, barbecued ribs, black eyed peas and sweet potato.

Earlier this month, it was revealed Jamie wants a judge to review the conditions of the conservatorship agreement when the singer’s ‘Circus’ world tour concludes in November. “Jamie can’t ask the judge to end it-just to review it. The judge then decides if Britney should regain control of her life,” the source said. Jamie thinks that the singer, who currently has shared custody of her two children with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Sean Preston, three, and two-year-old Jayden James, is now strong enough to look after herself.

Michael Jackson reportedly advised Britney Spears to retire from the music industry to focus on life with her family.

Michael Jackson warned Britney Spears not to “end up” like him.

The late ‘Thriller’ star – who died of a suspected cardiac arrest on June 25 – reportedly telephoned the 27-year-old singer a few weeks before his death and told her to retire from the music industry and focus on family life.

A friend of Britney’s said: “Michael told her, ‘Don’t end up like me.’ His warning was eerie, like he was trying to tell Britney he was going to die.”

The pair had remained friends since they famously performed ‘The Way You Make Me Feel’ together at Michael’s 30th anniversary celebration concert in New York’s Madison Square Garden in 2001.

The source added to Britain’s Look magazine: “I think Michael’s warning sent shivers down Britney’s spine. He was emphatic in warning her she should leave showbusiness in order to maintain her sanity. He thought she should retire after the ‘Circus’ tour so she could focus on the things that mattered – her sons and family. Britney must have taken Michael’s words to heart as she promised him she would at least take a long break after she finished the tour.”

Britney recently spoke out about her devastation at learning about Michael’s death.

She said: “I was so excited to see his show in London. We were going to be on tour in Europe at the same time and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I’m devastated he’s gone!”

There is still a lot of speculation going on about the topless photos of Britney Spears that came out recently. According to breakingnews.iol.ie, it now seems as though Britney could have known about the topless photos taken of her whilst doing a video shoot for the song “Gimme More.”

Apparently the photographer that took the shots of the singer pole dancing, wearing temporary tattoos on her breasts, has hit out at the accusations that he took the pictures without Britney’s knowledge. He is claiming that this is untrue.

The pictures appeared on the Internet recently and have had gossips going ever since. The photographer’s agent, Alec Byrne, insists that Spears actually brought the photographer to the video shoot and the snapshots were her idea.

Britney Spears sure is racking up the restraining orders lately.

Just a few months after Spears was granted a three-year restraining order against her former boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, a court has ordered alleged Spears trespasser Miranda Tozier-Robbins to stay away from the “Womanizer” songbird, E! Online reports.

In April, former American Idol aspirant Tozier-Robbins, 26, was arrested after allegedly peeping in the windows of Spears’ Calabasas, California, home while toting a video camera. At the time, the intruder claimed she was making a documentary about paparazzi.

In Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, Judge Jay Ford III issued the restraining order, which prohibits Tozier-Robbins from coming within 100 yards of Spears and her Calabasas home.

Tozier-Collins was due to be arraigned on two misdemeanor charges this morning, though Judge Ford postponed the arraignment after Tozier-Collins showed up more than two hours late for the hearing. Tozier told the court that she was late because she had to take a bus in from Inglewood, California, during rush hour.

Hopefully that’s not code for, “I decided to drop by Christina Aguilera’s house to film some footage on the way in.”

Transformers” turned Megan Fox into an overnight star, but she doesn’t want to be like Britney Spears. Fox says she sometimes gets “panic attacks” just thinking about what it’s like to be Ms. Spears.

“I used to sit back and think, ‘Please, Britney Spears has the best life ever’. She has everything she could ever want,” she told Entertainment Weekly in a new interview. “But she has one of the worst lives. Her life is a living f—ing nightmare. I have panic attacks thinking about her life.”

Fox is often photographed herself but she says that she doesn’t have it as bad as someone like the “Circus” singer. “I’m thankful that it’s still at this level. It will either get better or it will get worse,” she says. “And hopefully by the time it gets worse, I’ll be making enough so that I can have a f—ing security team to get me in and out of places.”

But Fox, whose Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” hits theaters next week, says that’s just what the industry she got herself into is like. “I don’t regret it because I couldn’t be doing anything else,” she says.

Britney Spears’ management are reportedly trying to keep the star away from Lindsay Lohan as she performs in London. During her well covered summer meltdown, Britney was once photographed with Lindsay and pal Paris Hilton in a car after a rough night of wild partying.

All three girls were snapped by paparazzi inside a car while parked at a gas station and the photo showed what appeared to be Lohan passed out. Is Britney trying to make certain she doesn’t get her life derailed by Lohan?

The 27-year-old singer is performing eight shows at London’s O2 Arena and Lindsay Lohan is also in town. A source said: “Lindsay is a bit of a loose cannon. She landed in London knowing that her ex Sam Ronson and Britney are in town. She made a big deal about arriving by posting pictures of herself in London on Twitter.”

The source added: “She and Lindsay used to be friends, but it was all about going out partying. Brit’s family are trying to steer her away from the every night extremes that Lindsay gets up to.”

Britney has won the “Always Next, Forever Now Award” on the Logo network’s NewNowNext Awards show, airing Saturday, June 13.

Britney pre-taped a video-message for her gay fans for all their love and support, according to In Touch.

“Britney wanted to come to New York for the taping,” said an insider, “but wasn’t able to with her hectic tour schedule.”

Speaking of… Britney is coming out with a new fragrance for men called Mo’, described as “tantalizing.”

“One spray and the gays will run your way!”

Well, sort of… the new cologne is a “viral-marketing campaign for the Logo network’s NewNowNext awards show,” according to MTV.com.

“She’s having fun with her gay audience, because she’s an official gay icon at such a young and tender age,” said Christopher Willey, a Logo executive producer.

Willey continued to say the tone of the awards show is “very playful, irreverent, doesn’t take it too seriously.”

When producers decided to give their Always Next, Forever Now award to Britney, Willey approached the Brit’s label and management with the idea for the fake cologne ad.

“We [wanted] something that would be fun and playful that we can celebrate/mock, and we thought, ‘It’s her perfume career,’ ” Willey said. “Because everyone knows every holiday season they bring out those commercials of her running through a forest or a hotel.”

Britney’s team “loved the idea,” though Willey admits he had to explain the meaning of ‘Mo to Britney.

“Britney herself wanted to make sure that the punch line – which is the word ‘Mo – wasn’t offensive in any way,” Willey said.

The ad was shot on the video set for “If U Seek Amy,” with footage spliced in from her MTV “For The Record” documentary.

The second annual awards show airs June 13 at 9 p.m. ET.

“She has this natural rapport with the gay community,” Willey said. “I think she just really likes her gay fans and she sees this as a way to talk directly to them, which she hasn’t really done before.”
