Britney Spears has reportedly been offered $10 million to judge the US version of ‘The X Factor’.

The ‘Hold It Against Me’ singer’s fiance and manager Jason Trawick is said to have ”been negotiating for some time”, with executives for the talent search show.

One source told E! news Britney has been offered the huge sum to appear on the second series of the show – which returns later this year – but she’s said to be holding out for $16 million.

The first run of ‘The X Factor’ was judged by show boss Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, although the latter two were subsequently axed after it failed to achieve the ratings Simon had hoped.

Simon is said to have initially approached Britney, and recently admitted he was ”fascinated” by her and think she would be ideal for the show.

He said: ”I would think that if she’s managed to sustain in her family life in a career which is tough, this is a walk in the park.”

Janet Jackson was also rumoured to have been offered the judging role, but turned it down because of touring commitments.

A high ranking executive for the show told The Hollywood Reporter the perfect candidate would be someone based in Los Angeles with not just success in the music business, but who is also a parent who wants to spend time with their children.

The singer admitted that she was huge fan of Houston and was shocked by the news of her death.

“I was the biggest fans of hers,” she told CNN at the Grammy Awards. “She influenced me so much growing up and it’s really devastating and shocking, really shocking.”

X Factor judge LA Reid added: “When you’re as good as Whitney, when you’re the gold standard of singing, you impress so many people, you influence so many people.

“There will be many, many singers from now who will be impacted and influenced by Whitney Houston.”

It was recently reported that fans of Houston have been urged by police to stay away from her funeral this weekend.

Words are, Britney has agreed to pay Brand Sense Partners. The gossip site claimed that the 30-year-old, who has gotten engaged to longtime boyfriend Jason Trawick in December 2011, paid the beauty company commissions for a period of years as well as a lump sum. The financial terms of the settlement, however, are being kept private.

Brand Sense Partners accused Britney and her father Jamie Spears of fraud, deceit and breach of contract back in 2011. The company filed their suit in Los Angeles Superior Court in March, claiming the father and daughter duo robbed it of its commission from “any and all products” the singer worked on with Elizabeth Arden, including her Radiance fragrance.

The “Hold It Against Me” hitmaker was also accused of making “a separate deal with Elizabeth Arden in a sneaky underhanded effort to circumvent and evade its obligations to Brand Sense.” Brand Sense also noted in its suit that Jamie was caught “red handed” acknowledging the deal, but then “complained that the commission was too high and said that Britney did not want to pay it.”

Neither Madonna nor Britney’s reps have answered any questions regarding the track.

This wouldn’t be the first time the two hot bixches have collaborated, with Madonna appearing on Britney’s 2003 release, In The Zone, for “Me Against The Music” – then later collaborating locking lips at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards and Britney appearing on video during Madonna’s Hard Candy tour for “Human Nature.”

While his condition was originally thought to be serious, after a series of tests Federline was given the all-clear and discharged from hospital.

After returning home to recover with his family, K-Fed visited a cardiologist for a check-up today.

A spokesman for the reality show told the Herald Sun: ‘Excess Baggage contestant Kevin Federline has been given the all-clear after spending the day in medical care.’

‘Kevin and producers became concerned with his extreme pulse rate and abnormal heart beat during a week six challenge of the program. The program medic took the action of calling an ambulance so that a hospital could assess his well-being.

‘After more tests, he was released late last night.’

It was thought Federline might have to pull out of the fat camp reality show after the health scare, but K-Fed seemed confident all was well after his check-up.

Seemingly brushing aside the scare, he told waiting photographers in Sydney that he was ‘all good’ and ‘ready to win’ the programme.

The spokesman said Federline was expected to return to filming the programme this Friday.
